Yo, check this out
I found a real, no BS Burmese “Kyay Oh Si Chat” in spot called Xiao Mei Ban Mian. And guess what? It’s run by this ex-software engineer, an NUS grad, who’s a Myanmar-born Singaporean. It’s like pure fire, man! 🔥🔥
They call it “Myanmar Style Bee Hoon” and you can get it with or without the soup, whatever floats your boat. It’s like the closest thing to that bomb “Kyay Oh Si Chat” I had in Yangon at Color Stones restaurant. I’m tellin’ ya, it’s the best stuff I’ve ever tasted.
But here’s the kicker, my friends. There are plenty of Burmese joints in Singapore, but most of them just can’t seem to nail the real deal. What’s up with that, right? I mean, can’t our Burmese peeps master their own grub? Sometimes I’m left thinking, “I can’t feel Myanmar,” if you catch my drift.
But hold up, my peeps, ‘cause Xiao Mei Ban Mian is the real McCoy. no doubt about it. As soon as I took that first bite of Xiao Mei Ban Mian’s “Myanmar Style Bee Hoon,” it was like a one-way ticket back to Burma, no joke. My taste buds went on a full-blown “Burma kick,” and I was instantly transported to the streets of Yangon. This dish is the real deal, my friends, and it’s the closest thing I’ve found to the authentic flavors of Myanmar, no cap.
You gotta hit it up, no doubt. I mean, why not, right? You won’t regret it! Just check out their Facebook page to scope out their menu and where to find ‘em. Go for it, yo, and satisfy your cravings with some straight-up Burmese awesomeness!
